HIV - The AIDS virus pt 2/4

This is a second videos out of four in the series of a documentary about the Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV)- The AIDS virus. If you missed it, you can watch the first video here.

• Until it almost took the life of a popular & famous actor, the message wasn't clear
• Ronald Reagan (former USA president) from silent to speaking about HIV/AIDS
• Dr. Jonathan Mann (directed WHO’s Global Program on AIDS until 1990) starting a special task going around the world
• TASO (The AIDS Support Organisation in Uganda)
• Trial and error in search for drug, AZT revisited (was discovered in the 1950's for canter treatment)
• Protests against pharmaceuticals (Borroughs Wellcome Co.)
• Protests against the authority to give more attention
• A wonderful voice from choir singers asking the Lord, 'why me'. Very touching!

This documentary gives one of the most comprehensive accounts of how the world has, in part, responded in the battle against the most devastating disease since the Black Plague wiped out one third of Europe's population in the Middle Ages - the AIDS virus.
