Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research scientist to work on a project funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council to investigate the molecular mechanisms controlling coordinated gene expression in the human malarial parasite Plasmodium falciparum. The project will utilise a combined bioinformatics and molecular in vitro approach to determine how epigenetic and genetic factors together contribute to the coordinated temporal control of gene expression in infected erythrocytes.

We seek a highly motivated individual with experience in cell and molecular biology and an interest in the role of chromatin in gene expression. Prior experience in bioinformatics and parasite biology would be advantageous. Applicants must have a PhD or postdoctoral experience in a relevant subject.
