Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School offers a range of scholarships:

  • Academic Scholarships for entry to Year 5 and Year 7
  • Music Scholarships for entry to Years 5 through to Year 11
  • VCE Excellence Scholarships for entry to Year 10 and Year 11.

VCE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS


Academic Scholarships for entry to Year 5 and Year 7
Year 7
The School offers Scholarships to students entering Year 7 in 2011. These Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit. There is no age limit for entry, but a candidate must enter Year 7 in 2011 and therefore will be in Year 6 in 2010. The scholarship tenure is for the 6 years of secondary school at Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School.
Year 5
The School offers Scholarships to students entering Year 5 in 2011. These Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit. There is no age limit for entry, but a candidate must enter Year 5 in 2011 and therefore will be in Year 4 in 2010 The scholarship tenure is for the final two years of primary school and 6 years of secondary school at Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School.
All applicants will be required to sit an academic scholarship test conducted by Robert Allwell and Associates

Music Scholarships
Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School also offers Music Scholarships to current students and new students entering Years 5-11, 2011.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an audition (similar to AMEB exam). The minimum standard (AMEB Grade level or equivalent) suggested for audition selection is:
Students in Years 4 – 6 (2010)
An A grade pass in:
  • Grade 4 Piano
  • Grade 4 Strings
  • Grade 3 Wind/Brass/Percussion
Students in Year 7 – 10 (2010)
An A grade pass in:
  • Grade 5 Piano
  • Grade 5 Strings
  • Grade 4 Wind/Brass/Percussion
