Swansea University International Scholarships for Non-EU Students
Swansea University Alumni: Postgraduate Bursary Scheme
The Postgraduate Bursary Scheme entitles Swansea University Alumni, including our most recent graduates, who wish to further their studies at Postgraduate level in Swansea, to a fixed fee reduction per annum on tuition fees for the full duration of studies.
Closing Date: The Scheme is now open and applications can be made at any time up until 31 August 2009.
The Scheme is open to all candidates applying for a Taught Masters or Research programmes in any subject area.
Who is eligible:
The Scheme is open to all non-EU candidates for Postgraduate Study who have successfully completed a FULL degree programme at Swansea University.
Students who have successfully completed a Postgraduate Taught Masters degree and who apply for an MPhil or PhD are also eligible.
The following students are NOT eligible: Exchange Students, Visiting/Associate Students, English Language Students, ICWS, Pre-Master’s Students, CELTA Students, GDL and LPC students, students qualifying with an 'exit' qualification, and students upgrading from an MPhil to a PhD. Non-EU alumni only will be eligible.
The non-EU Alumni Bursary will be allocated on confirmation that all conditions of their offers have been met.
Students must normally be privately funded. The Alumni Bursary cannot be taken in conjunction with a full scholarship from a student's national government.
Employees of Swansea University will not be eligible.

How much will an Alumni student save?
For 2009 entry, students who undertake Postgraduate courses in areas of study such as business, law, computer science, economics, mathematics, psychology, health science, arts, humanities, will receive a bursary of £2,200 per annum towards fees, guaranteed for the full duration of studies.
Students who wish to study degrees in science and engineering will receive a bursary of £3,000 per annum towards fees, guaranteed for the full duration of studies.
How to Apply:
Students should apply for a Postgraduate place of study at Swansea University. Eligible candidates will have their tuition fees discounted from the point of offer. Any queries should be directed to postgraduate.admissions@swansea.ac.uk
Please note: This award cannot be taken in conjunction with any other scholarship or bursary scheme awarded either internally or externally.
