Kilimanjaro Plantation Limited (KPL) is a coffee production and export company situated on Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. We are looking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:
General Manager Ref GM 07/09
Applicants should have the relevant agricultural qualifications and at least 10 years practical coffee farming experience in the private sector to be responsible for the management of a 620 ha coffee estate. Responsibilities will include day to day running of the estate, budgetary and financial planning, technical and all other operations associated with the efficient running of a commercial coffee enterprise.
Financial Controller Ref FC 04/09
The jobholder will be responsible for the finance, accounts and administration departments of the Company.
Applicants should have a recognised financial qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACMA, etc) and should be conversant with several accountancy packages. Knowledge of the Microsoft Navision accountancy package would be an advantage.
The applicant should have had at least 5 years experience holding a senior position in a finance department and should also have experience of dealing with Government departments on Statutory and Legal matters.
The Financial Controller's roles will include preparation of budgets, management accounts and financial reporting and will report directly to the Managing Director - Farms.
Senior Accountant Ref SA 05/09
Minimum qualification for applicants should be CPA or equivalent with at least 5 years experience. Reports to FC.
Workshop/Technical Manager Ref TM 08/09
A degree holder in mechanical engineering. Should have worked in a farming institution specialising in mechanised agriculture for not less than 5 years. Responsible for the efficient running of the workshop, irrigation system and coffee processing zone. Reports to General Manager.
