HIV - The AIDS virus pt 4/4

This is the fourth and last video in the series of a documentary about the Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV)- The AIDS virus.

This documentary gives one of the most comprehensive accounts of how the world has, in part, responded in the battle against the most devastating disease since the Black Plague wiped out one third of Europe's population in the Middle Ages - the AIDS virus.

Points I gathered from watching this video:

• Logistics, infrastructure, politics and obstacles therein and thus hindering distribution of ARV's
• Church's response to HIV/AIDS
• PEPFAR program begins
• Health Minister in S.Africa goes to court to defend activists case brought against the government denying ARV's to it's citizen. The court unanimously agree that the government can't deny this right.
• Efforts to develop a gel that will instantly kill a virus when in contact
• All these got the virus because they are connected either through sexual intercourse, IV needle sharing, blood transfusion or parent/mother to child.
• In the end, an innocent child, after physical examination, asks Dr. Gleanda Gray, 'Why am I positive?'....  this is saddening!
