Tanzania President and UN Deputy Chief attending meeting in Addis

The Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete and UN Deputy Secretary General Asha-Rose Migiro are participating in a meeting in Addis Ababa which begun on Thursday to discuss growth and development in Africa with a special focus on job creation.
Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen is also expected to attend the meeting whose theme is "New approaches to job creation in Africa."
Other attendees includes African Union Commission chairman Jean Ping, African Development Bank Donald Kaberuka, ECOWAS president Mohamed Ibn Chambas and founder of Celtel and Mo Ibrahim Foundation Mo Ibrahim.
The meeting will also examine education, youth, women and climate change in relation to employment and implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, the internationally agreed targets for eradicating poverty and other social ills by 2015.
