TweetThis! FILM: It's not easy (Swahili & English Versions)

Wakati huo nakumbuka filamu maarufu ilikuwa ile ya 'Maisha ya Yesu' na kisha ikaja hii ya habari ya UKIMWI. Ama kwa hakika machozi yalinitoka katika filamu zote mbili, ya kwanza ni kwa vile walivyokuwa wakimcharaza mijeledi Yesu bila ya huruma! Hii ya pili machozi yalinitoka kwa kuona na kuhisi mateso na uchungu wa mtu aliyekuwa akiishi na VVU (Virusi Vya UKIMWI).

Nikitizama filamu hii, inanikumbusha enzi zile tunakwenda kiwanja cha shule kutizama sinema. Mara nyingi filamu hizi zilikuwa zikioneshwa siku za Ijumaa ama Jumamosi.

Basi ni kijijini majira ya jioni mishale ya saa kumi na moja kuelekea kumi na mbili vile, kajua ndiko kaleee kanazama, mara inasikika sauti ya mngurumo wa gari. Kwenye kijiji chetu wakati huo gari ikipita ilikuwa inafahamika haswa kuwa ya nani hata pasina kuiona. Yaani ule mngurumo wa gari tumeukariri akilini hata mtu huhitaji kuona gari kuthibitisha kuwa ule ndiyo mlio wake. Walikuwepo wachache wenye staha za akina Mhogo Mchungu wenye baiskeli zao. Pikipiki zilijulikana za Wahudumu wa Makanisani hivyo gari lazima lingekuwa ni la Shirika ama mfanya biashara tajiri wa Kijijini pale.

Ni jioni tena hiyo unasikika mngurumo wa gari na kipaza sauti kinasema, 'Tangazo! Tangazo! Leo jioni kutakuwa na sinema katika Uwanja wa Shule ya Msingi Mtakuja. Sinema itaanza saa moja kamili usiku. Nyote mnakaribishwa".

Basi kwa wasichana si kuhakikisha tu kuwa umepika na ng'ombe wamelundikiwa majani, bali na kuni za kuchemsha uji wa hadi kesho kutwa zipo tayari tayari ili kisikutikane kisingizio cha kukuzuia kwenda kutizama sinema. Huko kwenye sinema nako kulikuwa na shughuli. Jioni hiyo wenyewe wamejipara sendozi zao, wengine wakiwa na makobazi na tuliobakia tumeyatwika makatambuga yetu mwenye sweta ama khanga zao sawa na mwenye koti vile vile hewala basi alimradi tu siku ya sinema ilikuwa ya pekee.

Tunafika kiwanjani, mtu unaangaza macho unatafua pa kujipachika asipokuwepo mwenye nywele nyingi za kukuzuia kuona mbele. Soga zinaendelea! Wakubwa wameketi kwao, vijana wa kiume wamesimama na wengine kujibanza kwenye miti kule, kisha wasichana na watoto wameketi kitako upande wao... alimaradi kila mtu kwa alivyoweza kujinafasi.

Ghafla unasikika mlio, 'brrrrttttt ttttaaaaaa taaaa'! Ah, la haula, raha iliyoje sinema inkaribia kuanza! Watu woooote kimya mithili ya kumwagiwa maji ya barafu majira ya kipupwe. Hapo hahitajiki mtu kuambiwa 'nyamaza' maana mwenyewe umejinyamazia kwa kuona shuka jeupe na kisha chenga chenga na mchele mchele penye kitambaa cheupe na mwishowe..... Filamu ndiyo hiyo....
Ama kweli ya kale dhahabu! na Elimu haina mwisho.

It's not easy : English Version


"It's Not Easy" was the first AIDS drama produced in Africa and tells the story of Suna, a young, married business executive with several girlfriends, who ignores warnings about AIDS. Career, family and a nice girlfriend are all going well for Suna, a young African business executive. But everything changes when his newborn son is found to be infected with HIV - the deadly AIDS virus. It's Not Easy, but neighbors and co-workers learn to become allies, instead of enemies, in the battle for life. The movie is an anthem in Africa's struggle against the AIDS plague.

This dramatic film was made in Uganda. It has won eight awards: National Council on Family Relations, The New York Festival, Medikinale International Parma, Prix Futura - Berlin, Int'l Communications Industries Association, Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, the British Medical Association, Cinevue and FESPACO.

This movie came to filmcollectief through Media for Development International. MFDI is an American 501(c)3 non-profit agency which has been operational now for 15+ years. It relates closely to Media for Development Trust (MFD) a Zimbabwean registered charity (W.O. 21/89) set up in the late 1980s, and also to Media for Development International / Tanzania, a branch office established in 2004 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The three are sister agencies. MFDI / USA supports the others, and they work together in film, radio, and TV productions as well as distributing African social message videos.

asante sana kwa kweli mambo ya kale yana raha sana kuliko hata ya sasa. maana wakti ule yalikuwa ya hamu lakini siku hizi karibu kila mtu ana TV, Simu, gari,kompyuta nk.
