Deputy Director of Operations with IRC Uganda.
The Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) overall responsibility includes supervision and support of International Rescue Committee (IRC's) operations functions. Working under the supervision of the Country Director, the DDO takes the lead in planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all IRC Uganda operations. Specifically, these include oversight to logistics, procurement, human resources and administration, security, IT departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide leadership to the support departments of Human Resources and Administration, Procurement, Logistics, security and IT.
- Ensure compliance with IRC and donor regulations.
- Supervise and provide support to Field Coordinators in the implementation of programs.
- Ensure clear technical systems are in place and are facilitative of quality programming.
- Liaise with the IRC New York HQ on all aspects of operations.
- Liaise with the government and other agencies on operational aspects.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Administration, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs or other related technical field.
- At least five years experience of progressive work in operations in an NGO setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
- Experience in managing a large country program with big portfolio and staff with different cultures.
- Knowledge in compliance with various donors' regulations.
