Central Scholarship Bureau for Maryland Students
Description: CSB provides interest-free, noncompetitive, "last-resort" loans to post-secondary students attending undergraduate, graduate or vocational school. The loans are (per year): $2500 for freshmen, $3000 for sophomores/juniors and $3500 for seniors. Graduate students can be offered up to $5000 a year.

Anyone who:
- has established residency within Baltimore City or Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford or Howard Counties for at least a year before entering a post-secondary program;
- is a student in good academic standing, and planning to take a minimum of nine credits a semester from any accredited institution;
- Meets CSB income guidelines, i.e. family adjusted gross income of less than $75000 plus $10000 for each additional dependent child in a post-secondary program;
- Has applied for all available government and school financial aid; and
- Has a "last-resort" financial need that can be met within CSB guidelines.No application deadline for loans.
