How to automatically import blog's RSS feeds to your Facebook page
Last week (or two) I promised (on my facebook status update) that I would prepare a post for people who would like to automatically have blog/site RSS feeds uploaded directly to their Facebook profile.
This is should work out like charm. Here is how you do it (click on the image to enlarge for a better view):
This is should work out like charm. Here is how you do it (click on the image to enlarge for a better view):
- Login to facebook.com and go to your profile page
- Click on the "Notes" tab
- Click on the "Import a blog"
- Enter your blog's RSS (for blogspot users, your blog's RSS feed is commonly: http://YOUR-BLOG-NAME.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default ) or if you have your feeds burned with FeedBurner, the address will be http://feeds2.feedburner.com/YOUR-BLOG-NAME ) NB: Substitute these words "YOUR-BLOG-NAME" with the actual name of the blog you want to import
- Click the "Start Importing" button. Contents of the RSS feed you provided should show up, if all is well,
- Click on the "Continue" button From now on, your RSS feed will automatically be uploaded into your "Notes" section of Facebook
- Imported RSS feeds cannot be edited on Facebook page, however, you can edit it on your blog. Login to your site/blog and edit that particular post, then publish and give it some few minutes, the changes will be seen later on your imported feeds.
- You can "Edit Importing Settings" and discontinue / suspend the service (see diagram marked 2)
- You can Edit Notes Privacy to decide who should or shouldn't read your notes (see diagram marked 3).
