TweetThis! The John L. McGoldrick Fellowship in Biostatistics in AIDS Research

Through the generous support of John L. McGoldrick, the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR), located in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), is very pleased to announce the establishment of the John L. McGoldrick Fellowship in Biostatistics in AIDS Research.

The McGoldrick Fellowship Program will support researchers from developing countries for intensive short-term (typically, 4-6 months) training in quantitative methods useful in the design and analysis of HIV/AIDS studies. The training program for each McGoldrick Fellow will be tailored to her/his needs, and will typically consist of coursework at HSPH and involvement in a recently-completed, ongoing, or planned HIV/AIDS prevention or treatment study involving investigators at HSPH or the Fellow's home institution. The broad goal of the Program is to improve human capacity within the developing world to combat HIV/AIDS and related diseases by better equipping Fellows with tools that will be useful upon their return to their country of residence.

Each McGoldrick Fellow will be provided travel support and a stipend to cover living and other expenses while in the U.S. Consistent with the goals of the program, every effort shall be made to select Fellows who will return to their country of residence upon the completion of their training. Selection will be through an application process with an effort to find appropriate candidates from sub-Saharan Africa.
The deadline for this fellowship has changed - please see new date under the "Eligibility / Application Requirements" tab to the left.
