We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Project Director (Botswana)
Position Description:
Provides leadership and direction and overall management of the FHI-led Basha Lesedi Project (BLP), a youth HIV Prevention intervention targeting 10-17 year olds and their parent/guardians and other key adults in the community. The Project Director (PD) will manage development of and monitor work plans and budgets; ensure appropriate program monitoring and accurate financial and programmatic reporting to HQ and other donors as required, and will work closely with the FHI Technical Advisor to ensure appropriate levels of technical assistance in program operations and coordinate partner efforts in program implementation. The PD will assist in resource development and proposal development, as required, including positioning of the BLP for continuation and expansion. The PD will represent the project and FHI in local and national forums.
Minimum Requirements:
BS/BA and 9-11 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS/MA in public health or related field and 7-9 years relevant experience; or PhD/MD or equivalent degree and 5-7 years relevant experience. 3-5 years of supervisory experience required. English and Setswana language skills required. * This is not an expatriate position. No expatriate benefits or allowances provided.
