TweetThis! Program Secretary/Receptionist - PACT Tanzania

Pact Tanzania is an international NGO implementing development programs and will be increasing its program scope during the next few months. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, energetic individuals to lead the projects and to serve as members of the program team on the implementation of Pact’s USAID Jali Watoto program, Global Fund OVC program and Democracy and Governance programs (DG). We invite applications for the following positions before 30 June 2009: Program Secretary/Receptionist

  • Provide secretarial support to the staff members on the Pact Tanzania team. This would include assistance in word processing and printing, fax management, photocopying and other needs as requested.
  • Serve as the first line of communication in answering telephone calls, directing calls properly and taking accurate messages when Pact staff is not available. As a receptionist, greet visitors and trainees at the office, inform the appropriate person and manage appointments.
  • Manage travel arrangements for Pact staff and maintain Pact Tanzania’s central files
  • Provide upon request and maintain Office supplies.
  • Maintain database on Pact’s assets and office supplies including inventory and ordering.
  • Work in conjunction with the Logistics Officer, as needed and arrange Pact’s training workshops including venue, workshop logistics, food/beverage arrangements, and correspondence with NGO trainees.
  • Collaborate with Program Assistant in the preparation of training/workshop materials and supplies

A Secretarial Advance Diploma and at least three years of progressively responsible experience as a secretary, with preference for experience with NGOs.
Good written and oral communication ability. (Writing samples must be submitted).
Excellent computer skills and Strong language capability in both Kiswahili and English.
