Upset by the loss and suspicious of rigged elections, supporters of reform candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi took to the streets. Iranian security forces responded with force and arrests. Recently, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called for an official inquiry into accusations of election irregularities.
