We invite applications for a clinical position available within the British Heart Foundation (BHF) funded Programme at the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine. The post will be located within the Department of Medicine, Addenbrooke's Hospital, based in the group of Professor Nick Morrell, the recently appointed British Heart Foundation Professor of Cardiopulmonary Medicine and Research Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Diseases Unit at Papworth Hospital.
This group focuses on the cell and molecular biology of vascular remodelling and development with a particular interest in the pulmonary circulation. The group is world-recognised for its contribution to basic and translational research in pulmonary arterial hypertension. The post would suit clinicians with a proven track record of substantial research outputs and peer-reviewed grant funding in the fields of vascular or developmental biology who have a background in cardiology or respiratory medicine. The post-holder would hold an honorary consultant contract with either Addenbrooke's or Papworth Hospital, depending on the clinical interests of the applicant. The clinical component of the post would be decided by the successful candidate together with Professor Morrell.
