Hiyo picha ya mtu aliyepigiliwa misumari si ya maigizo. Imani za watu hutofautiana hadi hufika wakati ukajiuliza kulikoni lakini kwa mtizamo wake na wengine waliochuruzika damu mgongoni wanaona ndiyo njia pekee ya kujishusha na kushiriki mateso aliyoyapitia Aliye Chanzo cha Imani yao. Kwa mujibu wa rafiki yangu MFilipino, ni hiyari ya mtu kuchagua kufanya hivyo. Hii si tofauti na baadhi ya WaIslamu ambao pia katika mojawapo ya madhimisho ya kumbukumbu kwa mujibu wa Imani yao huwa wanatumia sime kuiadhibu miili yao hadi kuchuruzika damu pia.
