TweetThis! Take It Or Leave It. ...accept the country YOU accepted. [updated]

I truly apologize to the PM of Australia and the good citizens of Australia and to anybody offended by this post. I have decided to update this post by removing the photo and the name of the Australian PM following a comment by a 'Guest's' which I take seriously and in a friendly manner. I normally go ahead and hunt some sites which I normally visit to verify the authenticity of some forwarded messages before sharing. This message was went to me on the 23th of February 2009 and after searching for a validation whether it was true or fiction, I only ended up reading a multitude of sites and blogs with the same thing, thus, I thought it was true, therefore I scheduled it to be published on this blog on the 26th. Unfortunately, little did I know that if the story is being published by many sites and blogs, it does not necessarily mean that it is true. Today, 13th of March 2009, after a comment on this post by a reader, I perused the giant reference site & forum source for urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation where I found out that on the 26 February 2009 (keep in mind the time difference, my blog is using Dar es Salaam date & time - GMT+3) they had updated and narrated this story as a 'MIXTURE OF CORRECT AND ATTRIBUTIONS'.

In my original post (only picture removed) I did NOT write I was certain that this was true, this (photo and name removed) is what I posted:

I did not hear this directly from the PM of Australia but a friend sent it and wanted it shared with readers of this blog.
I think it's pretty tough but with a lot of truth in it in almost every country that wants to cling to their customs and traditions. Anyways, isn't it true that the truth hurts? Boy if this is actually what was said, it is bold.
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians'.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom,

'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
Quoted message is a mixture of correct and attributions according to - snopes.com. (this line was added during an update, it is not part of the original message that ends with  '...YOU accepted'. quotation)

Please be aware that the Australian PM didn't say any of this - he would never make such a statement. If you hunt around you will find the same nonsense with Australia substituted for other countries......this is purely a hoax!
